Job Title: RN Labor & Delivery
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality care to expectant mothers before, during, and after childbirth. The RN in Labor & Delivery will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and provide support to mothers in pain management techniques
- Assist with deliveries and provide care to newborns
- Educate mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document all care provided and ensure accurate record keeping
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS / BCLS / NRP / ACLS / STABLE - Certificate Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
